AMBASSADORS | Ethan Vedder
Professional: Ethan rejoined the Outlaws for his third season with the club in 2014 after also playing six games for Denver in the previous two seasons. He was selected by the Outlaws with the 33rd overall pick in the 2013 MLL Supplemental Draft
College: Vedder began his career as Cornell’s backup goalie before switching to long-stick midfield as a sophomore. He scored four goals with five assists and picked up 95 ground balls. He appeared in 16 games as a senior, scoring three goals with three assists and 48 ground balls.
Vedder spent time as a child in Rwanda, where his parents worked for the Wildlife Conservation Society. He played goalie at Yorktown High School, earning All-America honors—he began playing goalie in third grade! In HS, he helped Yorktown High School win a state championship, earning MVP of the title game. Now, Ethan lives and works as a high school teacher in San Francisco and coaches alongside fellow Encore Ambassador Johnny Christmas with the Alcatraz Outlaws.
